Do Something Special (flash movie)


When I created deviantART 2000-2005 last year I had no idea I would provoke such a strong reaction. I promised myself that for the next year I'd do something much better and I believe that I will. Much better. Below you'll find details of what I'll be doing in the days to come. Remember the big day is August 7th and that you can do something special to! Stuck for ideas? Watch last years deviation for some simple ideas to reinforce your community spirit.

I'm sure it'll be just fine as long as you do the best you can :)

We can't ask for any more and everyone knows what life can be like. Heck i don't have the faintest what I'm doing for DA's b'day yet and I ought to do something.

It sucks that you aren't being supported though.

I did have a thought though... since you're not getting much support from the staff you're unlikely to get a Daily Dev this year sadly. So in order to reach people you'll need to use word of mouth so why not put something in the artists comments asking people who view the deviation to stick a link to it in their journal to spread the word :)

You know we'll support your efforts to support the community even if the powers that be don't, right?

last year's DD came right out of the blue - no staff were involved before it was uploaded the night before... thing is that this year I've organised so much more - notified $lolly back in May about all this that you see listed in the journal here... and more... and never heard a thing - followed him up to no avail :shrug: nonetheless, we'll see what happens :)

Hey matthew

I remember seeing your flash last year...and it really inspired me. I've been very lazy and this year has been a hard one for myself and my family, but I'm going to do something (probably something small, but something none the less) for the 7th.

As i said, I've been very lazy and finding times tough recently but I know I can turn it all around.

On behlaf of everyone, let me thank you for everything youve done and for inspiring me. Allthough it seems like I've been abandoning dA, I have always kept an eye onyour work and it continues to get better and better. Keep it up!
