Just letting you all know I'm still alive. I've been really busy though have a years worth of photographs that I'd like to share with you all so sit tight. Hope this finds you well, both new and old faces (thank you to the many many new watchers and for all the kind comments and favourites, they are very much appreciated).

Only fear builds walls

Thought it would be a good idea to let people know that I have returned from Israel/Palestine. Despite what I knew already, there has been a lot I have learned from listening to those directly involved and affected by what is happening. Soon I will talk about the occupation of Palestinian land; the 750km of wall built so far; the affects this has on the people; and those who are trying to make a difference for the better. Of greater interest to you in the short term will be the photographs I would like to share with you from the trip. I saw two pieces of the politically evocative grafetti artwork by Banksy in Bethlehem for instance. These will come in time. I have work to do and my new home to sort out. I feel emotionally drained and I feel even more strongly now for the plight of the Palestinian people.

Too much politics; too much religion; too little love.

The timing of this couldn't really be much worse for me right now but since earlier this year I've been preparing to head off to the middle-east with the charity Biblelands who offer education and medical care for those caught in the Arab-Jew conflict (see their website for more info). I haven't got an aweful lot to say about it other than I'll be gone from Friday 10th until Sunday 19th. Terrified by the thought of flying. Passionate about getting out there and seeing the lands that my father has travelled so many times before. Learning about the conflict on the ground from those affected by it and those trying to help make a difference for the better.

Take care all.

Thought I'd update folks on what is happening in my world, though first, yes, I'm terrible at getting around to updating my gallery. One day... I promise...

The past four months have been spent looking for work, the last two spent recovering back home in Devon after three years of study at university. Applying for jobs not even to recieve an acknowledgement back is disheartening. With the passing of time I began to get very unhappy with the situation.

However, things began to change for the better after my graduation ceremony. While catching up with my old lecturers a few days later I was offered the chance of doing some lecturing at the university on a part time basis. I thought 'why not' and yesterday I actually took my first class - computer graphics - studying modelling and animation in 3D Studio Max. I was so nervous and I hope this didn't show. I had only a couple of days notice to prepare for it and I have had a nightmare finding a place to stay and friends of mine creating issues I could do without right now. Yes, I'm feeling very stressed and very tired just now. Still, I got through my first lecture and I've promised myself next week will be better.

When I'm not lecturing I'm working with disability support services within the university; doing the same work I did while completing my degree. Helping others achieve their goals is very satisfying and I'm glad to be able to continue working within this supportive role.

Funny how life turns out. People always tell me I should go into teaching, I never really wanted or planned to follow such a path, yet here I am - lecturing degree students at university. My housing nightmare has been temporarily resolved thanks to the friend of an uncle of a friend of mine. I've been very fortunate.

Please all, take care and be safe - stay true to those you love and I'll pray they stay true to you.

Hello friends :)

Good news. I finished my degree and can report back to you that I achieved a 2:1 classification. Not quite the 1st most people seemed to think I would get but sadly there was a D grade hidden somewhere in all those A and B grades. Anyhow, this means I have a B.Sc (Hons.) Internet & Multimedia Technology degree.

I'm currently looking for work. In the meantime I have signed on so should hopefully soon start receiving JSA support payments (and I don't intend to be getting welfare for long - I want to work!). Some of the jobs I have applied for are in Wales because as much as I love being with family here in Devon, there are ties that I have with people in Wales that I can't bear to loose. I'm really hoping I get one of them which will be within the university I studied at working on Technology Enhanced Learning. It would be seriously cool and is currently the highest paying position I have found suitable to my skills.

While recent months have been taken up with finishing my course and then more recently spending as much time as I could with my friends; this doesn't mean the cameras have been dormant. Far from it. I actually have so many photographs to get through it's driving me mad. However, rest assured that I honestly intend to use some of this "free" time I have to get stuff up into my gallery. I'm not happy at how dormant things have been on that front. And I do have some beautiful photographs to share.

I hope everyone is well; that you're all safe and enjoying life; that you're close to those you love and care for.
