Hot Air Balloon - Yellow by matthewedwardcornish Hot Air Balloon - Yellow by matthewedwardcornish
One of countless balloons that flew over my house the other evening :) This is a shot from my very old Canon AL-1 SLR (film) which always seems to give me this vignette effect... I'm not sure if that's just how old it is or what - otherwise it gives me fantastic shots... anywho I really liked this one - hope you to do :)

I love the composition of this piece. The twisting pattern of the balloon just makes this photo wonderful

I like the vignette effect in this one. It adds a nice frame to what otherwise would just be a plain sky, and makes it more interesting (though it would still be beautiful without it).

My favorite part has to be the pattern on the balloon though. I love how the colors spiral down to the center. It almost just makes you stop caring that it's a balloon you're looking at and just enjoy the picture for it's patterns.

It might just be my monitor, but I think the main yellow color in the balloon needs to be a bit more vivid.

 Well the vignette is just what happens when I use that particular camera. I like it though. I think it's your monitor if you think the yellow needs to be more vivid... it's not that yellow :) more like olive

Yeah, I see what you're talking about now. When the sun comes through the window in the morning, it really drowns this monitor out. *blech*

Love this, Matthew.

It moves beyond what it actually is, a balloon, and becomes something else, I think in part due to the balloons abstract appearance from the angle of view. :)

That's absolutely gorgeous. The brightness of the balloon and the muted color of the background makes it come together perfectly...Fantastic. (:
